LIST: Food, water distribution sites in the Houston area

HOUSTON — Many Houston-area residents remain without adequate water supply due to boil water notices or repairs needed on their properties. There are also those in need of food.

In an effort to help those in need, local officials are setting up food and water distribution sites in several counties around our region.

What to do if you’re still under a boil water advisory

Friday Distribution Sites

Magnolia Center Drive-Thru

The City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods will distribute bottled water (drive-thru only) starting at 9 a.m.

Location: Magnolia Multi-Service Center (7037 Capitol St, Houston, 77011)

Montgomery County

The Montgomery County Food Bank will have a food distribution at Nelson’s Pools. They’ll be open from 9 a.m. until all supplies are gone.

Thirteen Restaurant Clothing Giveaway

James Harden, Thirteen Restaurant and Adidas will host a drive-thru distribution from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. They will have Adidas jackets, shoes, pants and shirts for all ages, with multiple sizes for kids and adults. There will be two-item limit per person and all recipients have to be there to get their items.

Saturday distribution site

Pet Food

The Houston Humane Society is partnering with Fort Bend County for a Pet Pantry Event. The drive-thru will provide free pet food, supplies, and information for other resources. They’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
